STILLING RUMORS: The tabloid rumor mill has already churned about the potential of a Joe Jonas-Gigi Hadid engagement, but it was his married brother Kevin and sister-in-law Danielle Deleasa paying close attention at Monday’s Pnina Tornai runway show at Kleinfeld. In fact, Kevin Jonas was so interested that he filmed every look with his iPhone. Afterwards, his wife of six years said she was considering getting into design, although nothing definite has been planned. “I just can’t get enough of wedding dresses,” she explained.
Across the way, free agent defensive tackle Devon Still caught the show with his fiancé Asha Joyce. Now that his five-year-old daughter’s cancer is in remission, they plan to marry in May. After three days straight of 12-plus bridal shows, Joyce said she had lost track of which ones she had gone to — “It’s been a lot of dresses.”
Still said, “It was hard for me to picture myself going to a lot of these fashion shows but just seeing the smile on her face when she sees the models step out on the runway and choosing which dresses match her personality has just been amazing.”
As The Knot’s 2016 Dream Couple, Joyce and Still have selected four pediatric cancer charities for their online registration. Knot visitors will also vote online to help decide which wedding dress Joyce will wear to her May wedding. As for his daughter’s flower girl dress, they both said in unison, “She just wants it to be pink.”
Kleinfeld co-owner Ronnie Rothstein said he is linking Still with Marty Greenfield to get a customized suit for $1,500 instead of the typical $7,000 to $9,000 that NFLers and NBAers pay for a customized suit. As for getting back in a NFL uniform, Still said, “I’ve had a couple of workouts and hopefully something will break through. For now, I’m just focusing on the wedding and nursing my daughter back to good health.”
Although he couldn’t talk about which teams he is in talks with, Still weighed in on Tom Brady’s 4-0 start. “The Patriots have been doing really good this season. Everybody knows how good of a team they are and they have been coming out proving themselves every single week,” he said.
