KICK OFF YOUR SUNDAY SHOES: Joe Zee was a natural choice to host The Cinema Society’s screening of “Footloose” on Wednesday evening at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. The Elle creative director is an avid dancer, practicing his hop-hop and street jazz moves almost every day at Broadway Dance Center with teacher Sheryl Murakami, one of Beyoncé’s favorite choreographers. Also on hand for the remake of the Eighties cult classic were Russell Simmons, Nicole Miller, Petra Nemcova, Peter Facinelli, Maxwell, Brad Goreski, Christian Siriano, Lorenzo Martone, Inés Rivero and Alina Cho. The film’s stars, Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald, hit the movie and after party at Catch, the latest Meatpacking District hot spot.
While the movie is set in a town that bans dancing for the supposed good of its kids, Hough said it would be a better idea to ban video games, while Wormald singled out McDonald’s. “Although I love it, so I probably shouldn’t say that,” he admitted.
