LABOR RELATIONS: The Model Alliance, the long-in-the-works nonprofit that aims to improve working conditions in the American modeling industry, held a launch party Monday night at The Standard Hotel’s High Line Room in New York. Founder and model Sara Ziff delivered a mission statement to the crowd and was backed up by the likes of former model and current Jezebel blogger Jenna Sauers and Susan Scafidi of the Fashion Law Institute, which co-hosted the evening with Coco Rocha. The group, organizers said, will work to achieve greater financial transparency and the enforcement of child labor laws, among other goals.
