PRINCESS DIARIES: “Lady Diana was a special woman, who never forgot what counts in life,” Tod’s chairman and ceo Diego Della Valle said at an event on Saturday to present “Timeless Icon,” a limited-edition photo book published by Electa celebrating the Princess of Wales. “She remains an example for young people.”
The book’s images of the late princess — often seen wearing Tod’s pebble-soled moccasins — were displayed at the PAC, the Museum of Contemporary Art. She is captured at formal events greeting soldiers or celebrities such as Tom Hanks, and in everyday moments, carrying a tennis racket or smiling at her children,
“Timeless Icon” will be distributed worldwide starting in March and part of the sales will be devolved to Clic Sargent, a charity organization supporting children and young people with cancer and their families.
For the occasion and to celebrate the iconic D Bag, named after Lady Diana and unveiled in 1997, Tod’s is launching an evolution of the tote, the D.D. Bag, for spring, in calf, python and crocodile.
