SHOE BUSINESS: Lady Gaga fans be warned. Alongside a range of vintage men’s wear and other objects to go on sale at Paris’ auction house Drouot Richelieu on Feb. 11, 2013, will be a single Emporio Armani silver-colored platform shoe the artist threw into the crowd at a Paris concert in 2010. The incongruous object, valued at between 4,000 euros and 5,000 euros, or $5,193 and $6,491 at current exchange, will be part of auction firm Cornette de Saint Cyr’s fifth L’Homme et son Univers (which translates as Man and his World) sale. Also up for auction will be a Maddest Hatter Los Angeles black felt fedora made for Michael Jackson in 1984, a writing set owned by Marilyn Monroe and an Hermès Birkin bag that once belonged to Hermine de Clermont-Tonnerre. The latter is valued at between 25,000 euros and 30,000 euros, or $32,456 and $38,948.
