LONDON CALLING: London designers were out in full force last week in Los Angeles, attending parties hosted by the British Fashion Council (Tuesday’s party sponsored by Farfetch.com for the London Show Rooms and Friday’s sponsored by Stylebop.com for the London Style Suites), as well as events for MOCA, Zegna, Stephen Webster and Ellen Von Unwerth. Duro Olowu held a trunks show at Sunset Tower, Mary Katrantzou and J.W. Anderson did personal appearances at Saks Fifth Avenue, and Erdem Moralioglu and Ken Downing presented a runway show at Neiman Marcus. “He’s a wonderful friend, and I think his clothes are perfect for the L.A. woman,” said Downing. Moralioglu also celebrated his birthday in Los Angeles with friend Liz Goldwyn in Venice Beach. “I’m also looking forward to seeing the Anne Collier Show at Marc Foxx gallery and going to LACMA,” he said.
