LOOK AT MET: Those counting down to next May’s “Charles James: Beyond Fashion” exhibition at the Costume Institute will get their first preview today. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is unveiling the first James gown to be in the show — a 1946 velvet, satin and faille evening dress that once belonged to style icon Millicent Rogers. The evening dress is the centerpiece of an episode on the Met’s “82nd & Fifth” Web series. The segment, titled “Hipster,” features Jan Glier Reeder, who is curating the exhibition with Harold Koda, talking about the gown. It goes live today at 82nd-and-fifth.metmuseum.org/hipster.
