The four-piece collection is designed to accompany BMW’s i8, the new rechargeable hybrid sports vehicle.

Louis Vuitton has created a collection in conjunction with BMW for the launch of the carmaker's i8 rechergeable hybrid sports vehicle.

FULL-SPEED AHEAD: Louis Vuitton has teamed with BMW to produce what it calls the “luggage of the future.” Vuitton created what it claims is the world’s first high-end carbon-fiber luggage, designed to fit into the carmaker’s new BMW i8 rechargeable hybrid sports vehicle. The four-piece luggage set consists of soft, flexible bags and semi-rigid thermoformed cases intended to stack and fit together seamlessly inside the car. The items are made of a woven charcoal-gray carbon fiber fabric with a perforated microfiber lining and laminated with an electric-blue coating. They are adorned with a specially designed handle, leather address tag and signature padlock. “This is a pure expression of the art of travel,” stated Patrick-Louis Vuitton, head of special orders for the brand.
