BIGGER SPOT: Louis Vuitton has expansion plans for Milan. The French brand has secured the winning bid at an auction for a 8,644 square-foot area in the prestigious Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The space, which includes two levels and a mezzanine, will be annexed to the existing Louis Vuitton boutique, transforming it into the city’s second mega-store for the brand.

According to the 16-year rental agreement, the luxury fashion firm, whose offer was three times the base price of the auction, will pay an annual rent of 963,000 euros, or $1.26 million at current exchange rate, to Milan’s municipality, which owns the building.
