The Italian designer will show his fall 2016 men’s collection on Jan. 16 at 11:30 a.m. during Milan Fashion Week.
“It’s been a while since the first time I started supporting those young talents I consider more promising in the Italian and international fashion scene,” said Giorgio Armani, who started offering his space to emerging brands in June 2013. “Their enthusiasm, dedication and creativity elaborated in a personal way continue to make me feel passionate about this project. I wish Lucio Vanotti, the designer I chose this season, a brilliant future, filled with satisfaction.”
Vanotti, who has a fashion design degree from Milan’s Istituto Marangoni, launched his namesake brand in 2012, creating men’s and women’s collections infused with an effortless elegance and focused on geometric, clean silhouettes crafted from high-end fabrics.
“Receiving this opportunity from Giorgio Armani represents a great reward,” Vanotti said. “I want to sincerely thank the man who, along with being a great example from a business point of view, is also the inventor of an aesthetic code which the whole world appreciates, that influenced me and reflects what I am.”
This will be Vanotti’s first runway show.
