A descendant of Queen Victoria, Sophia Jakabffy walked Blugirl for designer Anna Molinari on Thursday, her first turn on a runway.
“I am so, so nervous,” she giggled backstage in Italian-accented English.
Jakabffy just finished her studies and is itching to travel. Her friend, Italian socialite and would-be journalist Beatrice Borromeo, took time out from her studies to attend the show.
“I should really be at home studying. I graduate in March and then will be moving to London,” she said.
Italian actress and TV presenter Giorgia Surina said her next destination would be Argentina.
“I love dancing and really want to learn the tango,” she said.
Prima ballerina Rossella Brescia will also be dancing, but in the role of Carmen.
“It will be modern contemporary costumes and the production will be choreographed by Luciano Cannito,” she said of a production slated for the Theatro Massimo Palermo.
Michela Maggioni, winner of Italy’s “Next Top Model” and fresh from working for Etro and Trussardi, will be flying off to Singapore for a month.
“Becoming Italy’s next top model has really changed my life” she gushed.
