Isabel Marant early next year will open her second store in Manhattan, a 2,500-square-foot unit at 23 East 67th Street.
The Parisian designer entered the U.S. market in 2010 with a store on Broome Street in SoHo. Marant opened a unit on Melrose Place in West Hollywood in 2013. The network of Isabel Marant stores has grown to 18, including locations in San Francisco, London, Madrid, Copenhagen, Dubai and Beirut. In the Far East, Marant stores have bowed in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Bangkok.
The East 67th Street store was formerly occupied by Bottega Veneta and has a private rear garden and more than 20 feet of frontage on the street.
“Isabel Marant was attracted to the intimate feel and unique charm of the town house for her second boutique in New York, as well as its proximity to Madison Avenue,” said Dan Harroch, senior vice president at Thor Retail Advisors, who represented Marant in the deal.
