NEW START: The Marissa Collections boutique in Naples, Fla., partially reopened in mid-October following renovations due to a fire last month. Though inspectors haven’t confirmed its exact cause, the electrical fire broke out in a window display during closed hours on Sept. 7. Minimal damage was done to the historic property, but smoke destroyed merchandise with the exception of jewelry.
“Our primary focus was to get up and running as quickly as possible,” said co-owner Jay Hartington, whose plans for remodeling the shop in shop for Michael Kors, and adding more resortwear and a cafe have been coincidentally put on hold. “Besides repainting and cleaning the store, we’re using the time to move forward with a new design for our Brunello Cucinelli shop in shop.”
The section reopens early December, along with the remaining half of the 10,000-square-foot store.
