COLOR FORMS: Marks & Spencer has teamed with Michael Van Der Ham on a capsule accessories collection for women that will launch in April.

The eight-piece range includes bags and shoes in a bright palette of acid yellow, electric blue and slate gray. Prices start from 25 pounds, or $35 at current exchange, for flats to 39.50 pounds, or $56, for a tote bag. The line will be available for purchase at select M&S stores and on the retailer’s Web site starting April 14.

“Contrasting fabrications and the layering of textures have always inspired my creativity,” said the designer. “So I wanted to produce a capsule collection of accessories that was true to this aesthetic, but with a playful, spring edge.”

Van Der Ham is the latest name to join the retailer’s “M&S &” series of collaborations with various designers, labels and fashion industry figures. M&S launched the project last month with the announcement of a collaboration with Alexa Chung, also due out in April.
