MAKING THEIR MARK: Tom and Ruth Chapman, the husband-and-wife team behind Matchesfashion.com, threw open the doors of their Marylebone townhouse headquarters for a cocktail party to celebrate Public School, the men’s wear winners of the International Woolmark Prize 2015. “We’re still in total shock. It will probably sink in more tomorrow,” said Maxwell Osborne, who designs Public School with Dao-Yi Chow. Woolmark chief executive officer Stuart McCullough, meanwhile, said the choice of Beijing in March for the women’s final is: “The right place and right time — after collections and Chinese new year. Plus, it is the year of the Sheep.” As for the next men’s final, the location has yet to be confirmed, but McCullough hinted it could be London again. Matchesfashion.com will be the exclusive online retailer to carry the capsule collection that Public School made for the International Woolmark Prize. “We already carry Public School. It has a cult following,” said Damien Paul, the retailer’s head of men’s wear.
