MEDIA MAN: Emanuele Della Valle, the entrepreneurial son of Tod’s Diego Della Valle, is venturing into the media world. He started Mediabend Capital, a venture capital firm and digital media company to create or acquire digital media properties, and Della Valle already has his first launch lined up: an iPad app called Elizabeth St. that will serve as an insider’s city guide for stylish moms. Tastemakers in New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris and Milan, who are also mothers with children up to eight years old, will let users in on their favorite secret spots in their cities. The app, which launches next month, also has a charitable element. Each city will feature a charity of choice, and for the U.S., it will be Baby Buggy. In addition to a donation, a percentage of sales from the app downloads will benefit the charity.
