Men’s Wear Line Rogatis to Get Duckie Brown Makeover

Cheil Industries has tapped Duckie Brown’s Steven Cox and Daniel Silver to act as design and marketing advisers to the brand for the next two years.

DUCKIE BROWN COLLABORATION: Cheil Industries, Samsung Group’s fashion arm, is joining hands with New York-based Duckie Brown to inject a younger look to its 32-year-old men’s wear line Rogatis. The company recruited Duckie Brown’s founder and designer Steven Cox and brand manger Daniel Silver to act as design and marketing advisers to Rogatis for the next two years. Cheil will first launch the Duckie Brown line this year to raise its brand awareness in Korea and introduce design collaborations under the Rogatis label from spring 2013. Cheil is Korea’s largest apparel maker and retailer that owns the labels Bean Pole in casual, 8Seconds in fast fashion, Galaxy, Rogatis, and MVIO under men’s, and Kuho, and Le Beige under women’s. It is also the importer of Issey Miyake, 10 Corso Como, Mango, Tory Burch and runs men’s luxury multi-brand Lansmere.
