In her dwindling appearances as First Lady, Michelle Obama is returning to where it all began; on Tuesday, Obama wore a multicolored geometric lace dress by Boss, designed by Jason Wu, to the United State of Women Summit in Washington, DC.

Her relationship with Wu goes back to the beginning of her time in the White House. Wu rose to international fame when Obama chose a dress of his design for both inaugurations. She has worn Wu’s namesake line countless times throughout her term as First Lady, reentry at the White House State Dinner in honor of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Wu was appointed creative director of Boss in 2013, showing his first collection for fall 2014. He recently launched a sister line to his main collection, Grey Jason Wu.
