Little Marc Jacobs Bows in Los Angeles

The new 175-square-foot boutique at 8410 Melrose Avenue is located in what was previously the rear of the existing men’s Marc by Marc Jacobs store.

MINI MARC: Marc Jacobs is opening its second shop for its Little Marc Jacobs children’s line in Los Angeles on Monday. The new 175-square-foot boutique at 8410 Melrose Avenue is located in what was previously the rear of the existing men’s Marc by Marc Jacobs store. A wall was knocked down to create a pass-through to the adjoining women’s Marc by Marc Jacobs unit, with the children’s shop now serving as a bridge between the two. The neighborhood also houses a nearby Marc Jacobs Collection store and a Bookmarc shop.

The Little Marc Jacobs unit is modeled on the stand-alone New York children’s store at 298 West 4th Street, with white shelving, green drawer fronts, a purple Stark carpet and a custom hand-blown glass chandelier. The label, which offers designs for girls and boys ages one month to 12 years, is licensed to Paris-based Children Worldwide Fashion and wholesaled to about 450 doors globally, including Nordstrom, Printemps and saks.com. The shops are owned and operated by Marc Jacobs International.
