MIU MIU’S WOMEN’S TALES: Miu Miu is bringing its feminine perspective back to the Venice Film Festival, which this year runs from Aug. 28 through Sept. 7.
In collaboration with independent film show “Venice Days,” the fashion label is presenting the fifth and sixth installments of its “Women’s Tales,” a collection of short films by international female directors. “The Door” by Ava DuVernay, and “Le Donne della Vucciria” by Hiam Abbass, will premiere on Aug. 29, with both directors in attendance. Special discussion panels related to the films and the role of women in cinema are on the agenda later that week.
