Salvatore Ferragamo to Show Marilyn Monroe Exhibition

The exhibit will run June 2012 through Jan. 2013 at the brand’s museum in Florence.

MORE OF MARILYN: Salvatore Ferragamo will hold an exhibition dedicated to Marilyn Monroe at the brand’s museum in Florence, which will run from June to January. The Ferragamo museum owns 14 pairs of shoes originally designed for the actress by the late Salvatore Ferragamo. The styles were bought at a Christie’s auction in 1999 and will be on display with a number of Monroe’s costumes and artworks dedicated to the iconic film star. The exhibit succeeds one last year centered on another movie legend, Greta Garbo.
