PEDAL PUSHER: Have lunch will travel. Moynat, the Groupe Arnault-owned heritage trunk and leather goods firm, has launched a bicycle picnic trunk. Available by special order at the brand’s Paris flagship on Rue Saint-Honoré, the trunk, which is crafted from Moynat’s signature Art Deco Initiale canvas with a poplar wood structure, comes with its own Dutch-style bicycle but can be adapted to fit any model.
“The idea of the curved bottom and lid with two openings was very complex and a challenge to our artisans,” Moynat designer Ramesh Nair said.
Designed to fix between the bike’s front wheel and handlebar, the trunk contains brushed aluminum thermoses and porcelain goblets as well as plate and cutlery holders and a sandwich drawer.
The front cantilevers into a small table.
