Mulberry RTW Spring 2014 Invite

FRAGILE: In among the flurry of invitations and tickets landing on desks ahead of London Fashion Week will be a firm nod to that great British pursuit — tea drinking. Mulberry, as a proper English brand, will be sending miniature teacups and saucers, created in collaboration with heritage tableware brand Wedgwood, to its invited guests.

Giving a glimpse into the theme of the spring/summer 2014 show, the last under the creative direction of Emma Hill, the boxes containing the cup and saucer will be embossed with a traditional stately home.

The doll-sized crockery sets are based on Wedgwood’s signature Jasperware pottery, and come in a selection of five traditional Jasperware colors that have inspired the palette for the collection. The Mulberry teacups and saucers were made at Wedgwood’s English factory in Barlaston, Staffordshire, and Wedgwood will be providing a pop-up service at Mulberry’s Edinburgh and New Bond Street stores on Sunday September 15 – the day of the show.
