LEPORE SALE TALKS ON HOLD: Nanette Lepore, who has been considering accepting outside investments for the family-owned firm, has put that process on hold, financial sources said.
Some factors said in December that the line was doing better and that there’s been discussions about where to focus on regarding how to grow the firm. At Lepore’s show Wednesday at Lincoln Center, Gary Wassner of Hilldun Factors confirmed that business has been improving and that the fashion firm is not considering any outside investors at the moment.
Of Lepore’s latest fall collection, which featured a color palette mostly of purple, plums and rasberry, Wassner said, “I thought this was her best collection ever. It was very pretty and very wearable.”
