Oscar de la Renta Teams With New York Botanical Garden

NATURAL FIT: Oscar de la Renta’s fondness for gardening has been well documented. His sprawling property in the Dominican Republic, lush with gardenia, orchids and kousa dogwood, is a testament to the designer’s green thumb, so it’s only natural the designer collaborated with the New York Botanical Garden on a home collection. The collection was toasted on Thursday night with a cocktail gathering at the designer’s Madison Avenue boutique in Manhattan. “They have the most extraordinary things at the Botanical Garden,” Carolina Irving, the label’s new creative director of home, said. “We could have expanded the collection to go on and on.”
