Jeanette Nostra’s Role Shifts at G-III Apparel Group

After 32 years with the company, she has resigned as president, but will join G-III’s board and remain with the company.

NOSTRA’S NEXT MOVE: Jeanette Nostra has resigned as president of G-III Apparel Group Ltd., but she won’t be moving very far. While Morris Goldfarb, chairman and chief executive officer of the New York-based company, will add the title of president, Nostra will join G-III’s board and remain with the company, focusing on its international business and on Vilbrequin, the Geneva-based luxury resort brand acquired last year. Nostra has been with the company for 32 years and has spent half that time as its president.

“Jeanette and her husband, Carl Katz, joined us the same day to launch Siena, a designer women’s business,” Goldfarb recalled. “Jeanette’s been a great partner in the building of the business and helping with the transition of our acquisitions. Carl retired about eight years ago and Jeanette’s lifestyle has changed, but we’re really glad she’s committed to staying on as needed.”
