TECHIE TOTE: Olivia Palermo has teamed up with the accessories label Aspinal of London to design a limited-edition tote bag to support AdCam, a non-profit charity that develops cooperation projects and social responsibility initiatives in the Masai Mara region of Kenya.
 
Called the Marylebone Tech Tote, Palermo’s design is a take on Aspinal’s roomy Marylebone tote, but is embedded with the technology to charge an iPhone or an iPad. The bag, which will be limited to 30 pieces, is to launch in March and retail at 995 pounds, or $1,512 at current exchange.

“Working with Aspinal and having them lend their support to AdCam … has been a stylish and meaningful experience,” said Palermo.
 
She is a longtime supporter of the AdCam charity, which organizes projects such as backing women artisans and primary education in the Masai Mara region. Palermo’s collaboration with Aspinal will see proceeds from the bag’s sales go toward helping AdCam to fund a new school there.

Sarah Rotheram, chief executive officer of Aspinal of London, said there is “a great synergy between [Palermo and Aspinal], as we both share a passion for the work AdCam does.”
