HAIR RAISING: “It’s very poetic,” gushed Victoire de Castellane, among guests attending the presentation of Olympia Le-Tan’s latest collection of bags and minaudieres, embroidered with retro book covers, presented at the planetarium of Paris’ Palais de la Découverte. With “It’s not the end of the World” as this season’s theme, the creations, which included a new line of globe bags, came scattered among the site’s permanent exhibits, such as giant planets and rockets. Taking in the pieces, along with the likes of Lucas Ossendrijver and Sarah Lerfel, Martine Sitbon said she was particularly fond of the venue as her older sister, a researcher, works there. “I remember coming here all the time as a teenager and doing these experiments like making my hair go static,” she laughed.
