Sources said Target has tapped Brooklyn-based accessories brand Hayden-Harnett to do an exclusive line for spring 2009. Hayden-Harnett, the three-year-old independent firm that is known for its best-selling Havana hobo bag, will join the ranks of Rafe, Devi Kroell, Loeffler Randall, Hollywould and Gryson, all of whom also have collaborated with the mass merchant. Hayden-Harnett also is launching footwear and swimwear this spring. Target couldn’t be reached, and Hayden-Harnett declined comment.
