OPENING NIGHT: The Raoul brand will officially unveil its new Milan showroom Friday and present its apparel collection for fall today. Located in the city’s stately Palazzo Borromeo d’Adda, 39 on the tony Via Manzoni street, this is the label’s first foothold in Europe.
Raoul, whose designs have recently been spotted on Academy Award nominee Viola Davis, was created and launched in Singapore by husband-and-wife team Odile and Douglas Benjamin in 2002. The family’s FJ Benjamin group, a leader in luxury brand development, is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange. There are currently 12 Raoul stores in South East Asia, and the brand is also available in key department stores and boutiques in the U.S., the U.K., Italy, France, Russia and the Middle East.
