Ford Motor Co. Taps Designers to Mark Mustang Milestone

Five fashion labels will design limited-edition T-shirts commemorating the car's 50th anniversary.

Anna Sui will design Mustang-inspired items.

OUT OF THE MOTOR CITY: With the Mustang turning 50, the Ford Motor Company has recruited five fashion labels to design limited-edition T-shirts that will be sold internationally this fall. Anna Sui, Rogan’s Rogan Gregory and Scott Mackinlay-Hahn; Paula Cademartori; CO|TE’s Tomaso Anfossi and Francesco Ferrari, and Pamela Love will offer their respective takes for the Mustang Unleashed collection.

While Sui has never owned a Mustang, she said her best friend’s mom drove one and “it was her dream car.” The designer continued, “I am a Detroit native and have watched the Mustang develop through the years. I’m pleased to explore my creativity through this collaboration and celebrate Mustang’s spirit and role in pop culture over the last 50 years.”
