PHOTO PLAY: Some of the coolest ladies in town came together for a girls’ night out at the Roger Vivier boutique in Milan on Tuesday night.
The occasion was the opening of the photo exhibition shown in Paris earlier this month of pictures commissioned by the company to celebrate the launch of its new Prismick accessories collection. “The story of Roger Vivier, a French brand which came to Italy, represents my own story,” said Servane Giol, who is among the photo collection’s portrait subjects. The French theater actress, who was shot by photographer Micol Sabbadini in the mirror room of her family’s house in Venice, said she is working on a project, called “Teatro dei piccoli,” to involve children in drama activities. “We are going to stage a play on the Italian Constitution at Palazzo Falier,” said Giol, who is also going to perform in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” this spring.

Fashion designer Marta Ferri, daughter of fashion photographer Fabrizio Ferri, said she enjoyed posing for Sabbadini in an old library in Florence. Ferri, who is getting married on the Sicilian island of Pantelleria on June 30, revealed she is still designing her wedding dress: “I made only a few attempts, but I know it will feature a mix of new and vintage fabrics.”
Margherita Maccapani Missoni is also expected to say “I do” a few days before Ferri. Despite her wedding preparations, the daughter of Missoni creative director Angela Missoni is launching a capsule collection of shoes with C.B Made in Italy, a Milan-based footwear company founded by young designer Cecilia Bringheli in 2010.
“I created three pairs of slippers using up-cycled Missoni fabrics,” Maccapani Missoni said. “They will be available at the Muzungu Sisters Web site, and 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Small Steps Project, an association that helps children living on rubbish dumps around the world.”
