JAPAN IN FOCUS: PPR chairman and chief executive officer François-Henri Pinault today kicked off a five-day business trip to Japan during which he will meet employees affected by the March earthquake and tsunami. Pinault will visit Tokyo and Sendai, the city near the epicenter of the quake, where PPR has five stores.

The retail-to-luxury group has 192 stores and more than 2,000 staff in Japan, where it operates the Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Boucheron, Sergio Rossi, Stella McCartney, Puma and Volcom brands.
