Ps IN A POD: Prada and Parisian department store Printemps have teamed up to celebrate the Christmas season with style.
The Italian fashion house not only realized a series of installations which will decorate the store starting from November, but Miuccia Prada also designed a limited edition collection, which will be available exclusively at the department store. The capsule will include ready-to-wear pieces, accessories, bags and shoes in particular colors and prints, as well as typical Christmas gifts such as advent calendars, carillons, scarves, essences and candles. The collection will be showcased in the hall, which will be transformed to resemble Prada’s historic flagship in Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping arcade. The space’s walls will be embellished with a massive advent calendar with the numbered windows unveiling animated mannequins and saffiano leather gift boxes.
Printemps’ façade, which will be lit up by a plethora of sparkling stars and snowflakes, will show a giant Santa Claus on a 16-meter sleigh pulled by a reindeer gliding on an imaginative path in the shape of Prada’s iconic House of Savoy coat of arms and knotted rope.
In addition, the department stores’ eleven windows on Boulevard Haussmann will be embellished with installations featuring the Milanese fashion house’s signature teddy bears and checkered patterns.
