PRATT TO FETE BURROWS: Pratt Institute will honor Stephen Burrows with its 2014 Fashion Lifetime Achievement award and Byron Lars with this year’s Fashion Visionary Award at its student runway show May 1 at Center548. After what will be the school’s 115th annual event, the two designers will be celebrated at a cocktail party at The High Line Hotel.

Fashion department chair Jennifer Minniti said Burrows and Lars “have been instrumental in reinventing American fashion. Their creative voices and inventive use of materials represent the skill and artistry that our graduating seniors seek to achieve in their collections.”
