Embellished clutch brand Preciously Paris is expanding its retail reach.
The label, founded and designed by Carole Tessier, has begun selling on Moda Operandi and will launch this week at The Webster to mark Art Basel Miami Beach. The label is known for its embroidered, contemporary-art-influenced bags that are each issued in limited-edition runs of 38 units.
For Moda Operandi, Tessier has created a line of circle clutches — each baring a different astrological sign. “I work closely with the Moda Operandi team and Lauren Santo Domingo….One of my eldest daughters is really into Greek mythology and astrology, and I imagined this collection as I read to her at night. Your horoscope is something you turn to when times are uncertain. Everyone has as sign,” she said of the designs.
Each clutch is available for pre-order on Moda Operandi’s web site. Horoscopes mark the brand’s fourth trunk show with the e-commerce site.
“I love art and fashion, I often come to Miami Art Basel with my husband, architect Rémi Tessier. And as everyone does, in addition to the fair, I made regular stops at The Webster where I met Laure and her team. We decided to create a unique collaboration inspired by the vintage wallpaper that has become an iconic representation of The Webster,” Tessier said.
Small styles retail for $1,894 while the larger size will sell for $2,183.
