Puma Sets Partnership with Mini

A British-themed collection based on the car brand is planned for September.

REVVING UP: With a strong presence in the world of motorsport, German sportswear band Puma has announced a multi-year license partnership with the car brand Mini, geared around a British-themed collection of apparel, footwear and accessories for men and women.

“Puma has a history of fun and quirky partnerships,” said Antonio Bertone, chief marketing officer of Puma SE. “Both brands speak to the person looking for minimal and sporty styling with fashionable functionality.”

Dubbed Mini by Puma, the line, which includes printed T-shirts, denim jackets, T-shirt dresses, anoraks and paint-splashed dungarees, carries British heritage references such as Union Jack and bulldog prints. Bags feature seatbelt-inspired straps and extendable pockets, based on the concept of, like the Mini, being compact on the outside but roomy and functional on the inside.

The line is to be distributed globally at selected Mini dealerships and Puma retail and wholesale stores from September.
