PV Updates Fashion Features on Web Site

The trade show will unveil the new content during Première Vision New York.

ONCE UPON A TREND: Coinciding with its New York show on Jan. 14 and 15, Première Vision will update the fashion section of its Web site to feature regular trend news in English and French.


“Our readers will have access to prime time updates on topics such as color, fabrics and themes. Fashion doesn’t just happen twice a year, it’s constantly evolving,” Première Vision fashion director Pascaline Wilhelm said at a presentation of the trade show’s spring-summer 2015 trends.


She dismissed fears that showcasing fabrics on would expose exhibitors to copycats. “The only purpose of the Web is to invite people to our physical trade shows. The image of a fabric has never been enough,” she said.


For spring-summer 2015, PV will highlight three trends: Air Currents, In Touch and Gently Provocative.


Fabric innovations on show will include laser cutouts and decorative perforations; hand drawings ranging from precise and watercolor drawings to irregular hand-drawn micro motifs; 3-D and thick techno embossing; gummy surfaces; wet-skin reflections; uneven dye effects and bleached prints.


The color palette is in tune with the season’s “joyfully iconoclastic” spirit, running from muted “beige enamel” and “solidified concrete” to a zingy yellow dubbed “acid dream.”
