Christopher Raeburn, Sibling and Lou Dalton Win Fashion Forward Prize

The laureates will receive a monetary injection and mentoring.

AWARD WINNERS: Christopher Raeburn and the trio of Sibling knitwear designers will join Lou Dalton as winners of the Fashion Forward prize for the spring-summer 2014 men’s wear shows.

Fashion Forward is a British Fashion Council (BFC) initiative for designers with developing businesses. It is sponsored by eBay Fashion and supported by the Mayor of London.

The winners will receive business support provided by the BFC, in addition to a financial award to assist in showing either a catwalk show or a presentation at London Collections: Men in June and in January 2014. Dalton won previously for the fall 2013 shows in January, while this is Raeburn and Sibling’s first time winning. Previous recipients of the prize, which was launched for men’s wear last May, include J.W. Anderson, Patrick Grant for E. Tautz, James Long and Christopher Shannon.

“Having been fortunate enough to win the Fashion Forward prize has significantly supported the development of the Lou Dalton brand. The collection has grown in size and an increase in sales this season has led to added financial pressure,” said Dalton. “The support from Fashion Forward has played a huge part in dealing with these bursts of growth.”
