ON THE MEND: Ralph Toledano, elected president of the Fédération Française de la Couture, du Prêt-à-Porter des Couturiers et des Créateurs de Mode last July, is to sit out the upcoming men’s and couture shows in Paris.
The affable head of French fashion’s governing body, who is also president of the fashion division of Puig, is recuperating from a bad fall over the holidays. Reached by phone on Thursday, an upbeat Toledano said, “I won’t make the shows next week, but I’m working hard every day to be back in March.” The women’s ready-to-wear shows are scheduled for March 3 to 11 in the French capital.
