Gucci Links With The Film Foundation

The Italian fashion house has teamed up with Martin Scorsese’s foundation to restore “Rebel Without a Cause.”

REBEL, REBEL: Gucci has teamed up with Martin Scorsese’s The Film Foundation to restore “Rebel Without a Cause,” directed by Nicholas Ray in 1955 and starring James Dean, Natalie Wood, Sal Mineo and Dennis Hopper.

The new version, which has been restored in collaboration with Warner Bros., will be shown for the first time on Nov. 1 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Bing Theater. The following night, Gucci creative director Frida Giannini will be the committee host of LACMA’S third annual Art+Film Gala.

This is the eighth year the Italian fashion house has worked with Scorsese’s foundation, helping to restore films by directors such as John Cassavetes, Michelangelo Antonioni, Federico Fellini, and Sergio Leone.
