RICCI MAKES UP: Actress Christina Ricci is dipping her toe into the beauty world with a limited-edition deal with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton-owned Make Up For Ever. Ricci’s makeup bag — black fake leather with gunmetal studs and metallic silk screening — will bow with the brand’s Make Up Bag Remix tour, which is intended to teach consumers how to use the cosmetics they already own (although given Ricci’s makeup bag has an inside pocket exactly the size of the brand’s brand-new Pro Finish compact foundation, clearly the hope is they’ll pick up at least one additional item). The nine-city tour kicks off in Los Angeles Feb. 1.
“I loved collaborating with Make Up For Ever on a custom makeup bag because I got to design something that actually holds everything I need on the go,” said Ricci. “My inspiration for the bag was hard rock meets couture, and I added a red lip motif to the geometric design since I love wearing red lipstick. Plus I thought it would add a fun pop of color.”
