FLYING HIGH: Premium German luxury luggage brand Rimowa celebrated the arrival of its JU52 aircraft at Van Nuys Airport outside of Los Angeles Wednesday evening. Chris Hemsworth, Aaron Paul and Marisa Tomei showed up to take scenic rides in the vintage plane, whose grooved design inspired the brand’s signature luggage in the Fifties. Rimowa chief executive officer Dieter Morszeck even flew in the aircraft all the way from Cologne, Germany. After a cocktail party featuring German beer and a sit-down dinner in an open hangar, guests were given a carry-on case to take home, a generous parting gift as the line starts at $400 retail. Next stop for the plane is Denver, followed by Oshkosh, Wisconsin, then New York City, where the brand will host another event on Aug. 1.
