PALACE PATTER: The Duchess of Cambridge has a new coat…of arms. She and her husband Prince William have been given the new symbol to mark their official union, Kensington Palace said Friday. Designed by the College of Arms in London, the new emblem shows the Duke’s coat of arms — given to him by Queen Elizabeth II on his 18th birthday — on the left hand side, and his wife’s coat on the right. Kate’s shield, which has three acorns, was granted to the Middleton family in 2011, shortly before the couple was married. Kensington Palace also said Friday that young Prince George will be baptized on Wednesday, October 23 at the Chapel Royal at St. James’s Palace.
