ON THE WATER: Auckland’s Viaduct Basin revisited the buzz of the 2000 and 2003 America’s Cup regattas on Friday as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in the City of Sails to race each other across Waitemata Harbour on two separate Team New Zealand yachts. Kate won both races.

Arriving at the Whenuapai Royal New Zealand Air Force base earlier in the day, Kate wore a navy Zara double-breasted blazer over navy skinny jeans, a navy and white striped ‘Breton Top’ from British label Me + Em and a pair of navy Stuart Weitzman ‘Corkswoon’ wedges — a favorite look she has recycled numerous times – later swapping the wedges for a pair of tan Sebago ‘Bala’ boat shoes.

The couple then took another harbor spin on a New Zealand Sealegs amphibious craft, departing back to Wellington with a mini bespoke version in tow as a gift for Prince George. On the royal weekend itinerary: visits to Hamilton, Cambridge and Dunedin.
