SUPER TROOPER: Shortly after launching London’s men’s wear showcase with a cocktail party at St. James’s Palace on Thursday night, Prince Charles turned his attention to official family matters on Saturday morning at the annual Trooping the Color ceremony, the official celebration of the Queen’s birthday. During the ceremony, the Queen was greeted by a royal salute and carried out an inspection of the Household Division troops.
She later rode back to Buckingham Palace in a glass carriage with her husband, Prince Philip, who was making his first official engagement after being discharged from hospital last weekend. The Queen later joined members of the royal family — including the Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Edward, and Princess Anne — on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for a fly-past by the Royal Air Force. The Duchess wore a gray Erdem dress and a Jane Corbett hat. The Queen wore a primrose yellow coat and dress by Angela Kelly, her personal assistant and senior dresser, with a matching hat.
