RUFFLES AND TRUFFLES: “Trey, would you art direct and then Photoshop?” Tommy Hilfiger called out at Diane von Furstenberg’s Paris apartment on Friday night as the CFDA president hosted an “Americans in Paris” cocktail party with finalists in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition. Hilfiger, the guest of honor, was referring to advertising guru Trey Laird as he posed next to Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour and a row of designers including Prabal Gurung, Eddie Borgo and Billy Reid. Hilfiger said he was continuing his European retail expansion. His itinerary included London and Alba, Italy, “the home of the truffle,” he noted.
