Chanel to Show Collection in Moscow

Brand's RTW collection heads to its source of inspiration.

Chanel’s “Paris-Moscow” collection of luxury ready-to-wear is heading to its source of inspiration. Karl Lagerfeld, who unveiled the pre-fall range in Paris last December, is due to head to the Russian capital for an encore showing on May 29 at the Maly Theater.  A party to inaugurate a temporary Chanel boutique at the multi-brand boutique Podium will follow the runway outing. Chanel last showed a collection in Moscow in 1967. Chanel also has two boutiques in Moscow, and a third in Ekaterinburg. To cap off festivities during the Moscow Arts Festival, Chanel also plans a private screening of the forthcoming movie, “Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsk” in the presence of its star, Anna Mouglalis.
