ON THE PROWL: The Sydney-based label Sass & Bide is looking to expand its retail operations outside Australia, and the first stop will be New York. “We’ve grown extensively in Australia in terms of our retail presence over the past two or three years,” said David Briskin, the brand’s chief executive officer. “So we’re now looking at heading overseas. New York is our first stop to see if we can find a store in SoHo. And also we’d love to consider London as well, and a Paris store.”
Briskin said he hopes a New York location will be open within the next year. In the meantime, the label has begun shipping to the U.K., U.S. and New Zealand from its online store.
