Marine Corps Ball Held Aboard the Intrepid

SEMPER FI: Nicole Miller made sure to dress the part when she joined Harvey Keitel at Thursday night’s Marine Corps Ball aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. Aside from being a former Marine himself, Keitel hosted the event, and he and his wife Daphna Kastner are friends with the designer. Miller’s right-hand man Bud Konheim, who also was among the First to Fight, gave her some gold buttons with the Marines’ eagle, globe and anchor emblem. The designer used them on her navy blue gown with red piping that was inspired by a military jacket. She also embellished the tunic she designed for Konheim’s wife Colleen with Semper Fi-friendly pins. Even Keitel was reminded of his Leatherneck past — during the program, organizers flashed an image of his formerly enlisted self on the screen.
